Woman facing charges after leaving scene of injury crash A 32-year-old Pontiac woman is facing several criminal charges after she allegedly drove into the rear of a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup on southbound US-23 in Summerfield Township last week, causing an injury crash and the male driver to be trapped inside and her own vehicle to roll over several times before landing on its roof. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident that happened about 4:20 a.m. on US-23 at Mile Marker 12. According to a deputy’s report, a Temperance man, 27, was driving behind a red 2014 Kia Sorento pickup that rear ended a red 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup, causing the Dakota to crash by Mile Marker 12. The man told deputies he saw the woman running along the freeway and offered her a ride, but she refused. The woman appeared to be hunched over and crying, the man told deputies.
