Mar 8, 2021 JOHNSTOWN The Greater Johnstown School District will conduct the open enrollment for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the week of March 29-April 1. The applications will not be accepted prior to March 29, according to a news release. To be eligible to apply for pre-K, children must be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1. To be eligible to register for kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1. The kindergarten at GJSD is a full day program. The pre-K at GJSD is currently a half-day program. The school district will notify applicants if state grant funding becomes available at a future date that allows for full-day pre-kindergarten.
