Dr. Stefani Hicswa is one of the newest Yellowjackets on the Montana State University Billings campus. The new chancellor has only been on the job a few weeks.
âStarting a new job in the middle of a pandemic has been really interesting,â she says. âMeeting new people with masks on and knowing who they are and even something as simple as not shaking hands to follow those Covid protocols has been really hard for me.â

Every day we are bombarded with information. New technology brings it to us faster than ever beforeâseldom pausing to separate fact from fiction.
âThe question is, are we presenting people with the truth? The facts. Those things that seem to be most crucial and especially for people who are not very critical consumers of what they take in,â says Dr. John Caputo.
Caputo is co-founder of the Northwest Alliance for Responsible Media. Heâs a former long-time communications professor at Gonzaga University, where he taught media literacy.

Justin Pallo is a senior at Montana State University Billings who decided to volunteer his time by reading Spanish picture books to kids in the community
Pallo said Wednesday morning that he started speaking Spanish after taking classes in high school but progressed in his fluency later.
âI was a missionary in Argentina for a couple years and having to use it every single day really helped me develop that. Once I got home from that, I was a Spanish interpreter at a small clinic in Utah,â said Pallo.
