Two years after the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested nine men from Mumbra and Aurangabad for allegedly forming a terror group and planning to attack large religious gatherings, including an old temple near Mumbra, in an attempt to cause mass casualty, the Aurangabad special court has framed charges against them.

Mumbai: The Juhu unit of Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad has arrested three people for illegal possession of firearms in Andheri on Sunday. The arrested accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act.
According to police sources, the Juhu unit of Maharashtra ATS received a tip-off that three people were to arrive near Citi Mall in Andheri on Sunday evening, and accordingly a trap was laid at the spot, wherein a few police officials were deployed in plain clothes. When a vehicle matching the description stated in the tip-off arrived, police intercepted the car with three occupants in it.

Arthur Road Prison police personnel arrested for aiding gangster Harish Mandvikar

Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday arrested one police personnel of Arthur Road Central Prison for abetting the crime committed by gangster
Harish Mandvikar.
As per an official release, the police personnel was deployed at the high-security cell and passed on hand-written chit carrying orders of Mandvikar from jail to his aide. ATS has been investigating a case wherein a prime witness in a 2015 ATS case was being threatened to give false evidence in the Court in favour of accused Sajid Electricwala, the main accused in the 2015 case. He was threatened by the henchmen of gangster Harish Mandvikar at the behest of accused Sajid Electricwala, ATS said.
