Maharashtra on Tuesday witnessed 14,123 new COVID-19 cases, which is the lowest single-day record since March 11. Besides, 477 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the day, taking the number of total fatalities to 96,198. Now, there are 2,30,681 active cases in the state.
35,949 patients were discharged in the day, taking the tally to 54,31,319. The recovery rate in the state rose to 94.28%. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.67%.
Currently, 17,68,119 people are in home quarantine and 9,315 people are in institutional quarantine.
The Mumbai circle which consists of MCGM, Thane, TMC, Navi Mumbai, KDMC, Ulhasnagar MC, Bhivandi Nijampur MC, Mira Bhayandar MC, Palghar, Vasai Virar MC, Raigad, Panvel MC recorded 2374 new cases.
