Mumbai, May 4 : Filmmaker Aditya Chopra has come forward to vaccinate daily workers of the Hindi film industry, and has requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to allow his production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) to purchase 60,000 Covid-19 vaccines.
YRF has sent a letter to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) stating: With the film industry going through an unprecedented time, there is an urgent need to restart at the earliest so that thousands of workers can start earning their livelihood again and protect their families. Yash Raj Films, through The Yash Chopra Foundation, would like to offer its support in this regard.

Ex-Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh moves Bombay HC for quashing of CBI FIR
Anil Deshmukh, who had rejected the allegations levelled against him, resigned as home minister on April 5 after the Bombay HC ordered the PE against him.

MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh on Monday filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the FIR registered against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation on the charges of corruption.
He also sought interim orders granting him protection from any coercive action.
The plea is likely to be heard by a division bench of Justices S S Shinde and Manish Pitale this week.

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh on Monday (May 3) filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the FIR registered against him by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the charges of corruption.
He also sought interim orders granting him protection from any coercive action, reported news agency PTI.
The plea is likely to be heard sometime this week by a division bench of Justices S S Shinde and Manish Pitale.
The CBI on April 21 had registered an FIR against the NCP leader under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act which deals with illegal gratification obtained by a public servant and section 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
