Mumbai, Mar 03: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday took a swipe at the Centre over changing Motera stadium s name to Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabadand said that India will not lose any cricket match now .
Uddhav Thackeray We will not lose any cricket match as the name of the stadium (Motera) has been changed to Narendra Modi Stadium. We have named the international airport after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but they have changed Sardar Patel stadium s name. We don t have to learn Hindutva from you, Uddhav said in the state Assembly.

Washim (Maharashtra) [India], March 3 (ANI): Washim Police in Maharashtra on Wednesday registered a non-cognizable offence against a few Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and activist Trupti Desai for allegedly defaming members of the Banjara community. Washim Police in Maharashtra has registered a non-cognizable offence under sections 500 and 501 against BJP leaders and women activist Trupti Desai for allegedly defaming deceased popular social media celebrity Pooja Chavan, her family and Banjara community, read the statement by police in Marathi.
The persons named for the offence were National Banjara Council s Washim district youth president Shyam Sardar Rathod, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP leaders including Pravin Darekar, Chitra Wagh and Ashish Shelar, the
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday slammed the BJP over issues ranging from the commitment to Hindutva to the ongoing farmers agitation on Delhi borders. Asking why the Union government has not conferred Bharat Ratna on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the Hindutva ideologue, Thackeray said in the Assembly that the BJP should not teach Hindutva to its former ally, the Shiv Sena. Letters were sent (to the Centre) twice, seeking Bharat Ratna for Savarkar. Who confers Bharat Ratna? It is the right of the prime minister and a committee, Thackeray said. The BJP has been targeting the Shiv Sena chief for giving up his Hindutva ideology for sharing power with the NCP and Congress. Among other things, it has questioned the delay in renaming Aurangabad in central Maharashtra, named for the Mughal emperor, as Sambhajinagar.
Threats calls to Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut: ATS files 450-page chargesheet

A 450-page chargesheet has been filed on Wednesday by the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad, over five months after a gym instructor was held from Tollygunge area of Kolkata for making threat calls to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Sena MP Sanjay Raut. In the chargesheet, police claimed that the accused, Palash Bose, was disturbed over Maharashtra government s stand in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput s death probe, which is why he issued the threats.
According to police sources, Bose had Raut and Thackeray s office, using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), claiming to be an associate of the Dawood Ibrahim gang and warning them of dire consequences if they did not stop interfering in the probe of Rajput s death. Bose, who has worked in Dubai for 15 years, had access to Dubai-based SIM cards, which he used to make the threat calls.
