Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported home invasion around 12:30 p.m. on Monday at a residence in the Harrison Woods condo complex, the newspaper reports. Subsequent callers reported gunshots while deputies were en route to the scene. A 26-year-old Redford Township man was found dead inside the home, the report said. Police questioned a 27-year-old Harrison Township woman and a 27-year-old Inkster man who were in the home at the time of the incident. It was determined that the deceased man forced his way into the home and was shot by one of the occupants. The man and woman were released from police custody pending a case review by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, the report said.

On Jan. 25, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office authorized felony warrants for Darrell Semaj Banks, 19, of Mount Clemens, and Dajuan Dion-Diego Davenport, 20, of Warren. Both have been charged with two counts of first-degree homicide, which are punishable by up to life in prison. They were also charged with a two-year felony firearm.
