Mar. 1—MANKATO — A downtown Mankato bar violated its capacity restriction and the mask requirement set in the governor's pandemic executive orders, police say. Officers observed violations at South Street Saloon around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to the Mankato Department of Public Safety. The number of people inside the establishment exceeded capacity restrictions, Associate Director .
According to Mankato Public Safety, South Street Saloon violated several state orders Saturday, including surpassing the maximum capacity set by the state, as well as mask-wearing.

A community notification meeting will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 1 online via Zoom. For those unable to access Zoom, a link to the meeting will be available at mankatomn.gov. The meeting, hosted by the Mankato Department of Public Safety and the Minnesota Department of Corrections, is to inform the public that Dwayne Qutez Irving, a level three predatory offender, has relocated and will reside in the City of Mankato.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The Mankato Department of Public Safety is seeking a suspect involved in a reported assault.
The incident just after 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon on the 300 block of East Rock Street. Police say the suspect and the victim did not know each other but had a brief conversation before the alleged assault occurred.
“The suspect left in a brown truck and was wearing a brown Carhartt hat, blue and yellow plaid shirt, and had a beard,” says Daniel Schisel, Associate Director of Mankato Public Safety.
