Looking for a Great Hike? Try Mt. Major for Astounding Views In order to manage my depression, I try to get outside and take in nature just about any way I can.  Be it the beach or a hike.  Everyone loves hiking in the warmer weather, but I enjoy the quiet solitude of a winter hike, weather permitting. It was a perfect day last Sunday.  I was once told by a hiking guide that there is no bad weather, just wrong clothes. I dressed in layers, made sure I had enough water and a thermos of coffee, told my wife where I was hiking and when I was expected to arrive back home, and off I went to tackle Mt. Major.
