Attention green thumbs: Mattapoisett seed library taking requests

Just restocked, the Mattapoisett Free Public Library s Seed Library is ready to fill requests, organizers announced in a press release.
Organizers said with the library s new and improved process, patrons can now pick exactly the variety of seeds they want by filling out an easy form. The form lists the many varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs, etc. that the seed library have to offer.
After the form is submitted, patrons will be contacted to arrange pick up of their seeds, the release says. Individuals must be SAILS library patrons in order to use the Seed Library service.

MATTAPOISETT Learn more about Paul Cuffe, South Coast mariner, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a Mattapoisett Library discussion from authors David Cole and Betty Slade about their book, “Paul Cuffe: His Purpose, Partners and Properties.”
Cuffe, a man born on Cuttyhunk Island in 1759 to a formerly enslaved West African father and Wampanoag mother, built a business empire that included shipping along the Atlantic coast and shipbuilding in Westport, Massachusetts.
Join the Mattapoisett Free Public Library and moderator Corey Nuffer on Saturday, February 27th at 2 p.m. for a glimpse into Cuffe’s life through the eyes of Cole and Slade.
