And Oklahoma teachers, students and administrators are trying to bring order back into students’ lives. But billions of dollars from the federal government should give schools the opportunity to work at mitigating learning loss. Oklahoma’s State Department of Education announced Monday the start of a new multiyear initiative to best leverage those monies called Ready Together Oklahoma.

Teachers, Staff At Union Public Schools Start Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine Some teachers and staff over the age of 65 at Union Public Schools have now gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This week Sand Springs Public Schools, Tulsa Public Schools and now Union, all started seeing their employees get the vaccine, but distribution of the vaccine can be different for school districts. Jenks Public Schools, for example, said it does not know when teachers and staff will start receiving the shots.  Moderna s COVID-19 vaccine was administered Friday to some teachers and staff at Union Public Schools who are 65 and older.

Oklahoma Caring Vans Help Give Tulsa Area Teachers, Staff COVID-19 Vaccine Teachers and staff in the Tulsa area who are 65 and older are starting to get the COVID-19 vaccine. This is just the beginning of the effort to get teachers and staff vaccinated. The Oklahoma Caring Foundation s Caring Vans will be at Tulsa Public Schools Wednesday.   Moderna s COVID-19 vaccine is now in the arms of some teachers and staff members at Sand Springs Public Schools. The Caring Van made the delivery to the Early Childhood Education Center Tuesday so district employees did not have to go far during the school day.
