During a hearing for a Killeen man who has been in jail awaiting trial on a capital murder charge for years, a Bell County judge expressed exasperation with trial delays caused by COVID-19 mitigation orders. Marvin Louis Guy, 56, is accused of shooting KPD SWAT Detective Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie and injuring three other officers on May 9, 2014, when police served a no-knock warrant at Guy’s home on Circle M Drive. Dinwiddie died in a hospital two days later. Marvin Guy Guy, who is facing the death penalty, has been held in the Bell County Jail since being booked on May 10, 2014. His bonds total $4 million on four capital felonies, including capital murder of a peace officer.

The Bell County District Attorney’s Office is charging Stovall with assault/bodily injury after the Bell County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations Division and Texas Rangers concluded their investigation. An arrest warrant was issued for Stovall, and he was arrested at the Sheriff s department after arriving for a meeting with investigators. Following Stovall s arrest, he was separated from employment with the Bell county Sheriff’s Department effective immediately,” sheriff’s Lt. Bob Reinhard said in a press release.

Preliminary investigation reveal the Malibu was heading northbound on SH 195 in the outside lane approaching the intersection. Accordingly, the Corolla, heading southbound on SH 195, turned left at the intersection, went through the crossover, in an-attempt to cross the northbound lanes onto Chaparral. The driver of the Corolla, Alexus Nicole Williams, failed to yield right of way to the Malibu, causing the Malibu to strike the Corolla s right passenger side.

Police say 23-year-old Alexus Nicole Williams had drugs in her system and was driving under their influence when she turned in front of an oncoming car and caused a collision at the intersection of State Highway 195 and Chaparral road on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The crash was reported around 6:51 PM that day. According to investigators, Williams was driving a Toyota Corolla south along 195 when she turned left at the intersection with Chaparral. Having failed to yield the right of way to a northbound Chevy Malibu, Williams vehicle was struck on the passenger side by the oncoming car.
