UNICEF report on the Namibian Examination and Assessment System Review says policies supporting inclusive education need to be enhanced. It says teachers are not sufficiently trained on inclusive education and the lack of specialist knowledge and skills of most teachers means LSEN problems are not formally diagnosed. The report says learners with problems are left to fend for themselves and take mainstream examinations with no hope of passing. It recommends a resource school in every region and for every school to have a support teacher, including mainstream schools.
