ADB to further lend US$ 200 mn for road projects Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) The Cabinet of Ministers approved Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s proposal as Finance Minister to obtain funds for the implementation of phase three of the second Consolidated Highways Investment Programme, Co-Cabinet Spokesman Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila said. Speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing held yesterday at the Government Information Department, Minister Gammanpila said the Government of Sri Lanka and the Asian Development Bank has entered into an agreement for US$ 900 million from that bank for the implementation of the second Consolidated Highways Investment Programme.
