Support service receives $10K donation from Biloela club

Premium Content A generous donation from a Biloela motorcycle club will help people with disabilities. Autism Queensland Gladstone received a $10,000 donation from the Twin Valleys Motorcycle Club on Monday. The club raised the funds through its latest event TVMC raffle on March 27, which involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle being raffled off. Twin Valleys Motorcycle Club president Eddie Wust and longtime club member Jacob Davis presented the cheque to Gladstone team leader Katrina O’Brien, who accepted the donation on behalf of Autism Queensland. The donation comes as April marks Autism Awareness Month in Australia and Autism Queensland’s annual Go Blue for Autism fundraising campaign.

Rural bikie club hosting charity ride for austism sufferers

Premium Content Subscriber only A motorbike club president is hoping to use an upcoming charity ride to help autism sufferers. Twin Valleys Motorcycle Club president Edward Eddy Wust organised the first poker run of 2021 for his club and spoke to The Observer about it recently. We are raising money for Autism Queensland s Gladstone branch by running a raffle and hosting a round trip through Central Queensland, Mr Wust said. Mr Wust said the TVMC chose to support Autism Queensland because the Gladstone branch was in dire need of funds and it was a cause close to the club s heart. A lot of our members kids have kids that have autism and our older members have grandkids that have autism, he said.
