Since taking office in January, President Joe Biden has sought to undo several policies that were established during Donald Trump’s administration. This week, the Biden administration announced another reversal of a Trump-era policy that limited healthcare protections for transgender people.
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra announced that the Biden administration is undoing a Trump-era policy against transgender people in healthcare. The rollback was finalized by the Trump administration in June 2020. The protection for transgender people was also regulated by Obamacare, which Trump and the Republicans sought to repeal.

Analysts are rethinking their predictions for India s growth this year, which is troubling after the country s recession last year. The country also typically produces more than 60% of all vaccines sold globally, but the largest vaccine maker there is shifting to focus on domestic needs.

Two California congressmen are leading a group of 35 members of the House of Representatives in raising questions about a USDA plan to send some of its workers to the southern border to care for and supervise unaccompanied migrant children.
Republican Reps. Ken Calvert and Doug LaMalfa joined others in recently sending a letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra regarding reports that USDA is planning to send 500 employees to the U.S. border with Mexico in response to the current migrant crisis.
McDonald’s restaurants have partnered with the Biden administration to promote awareness of the covid-19 vaccine.
This summer, customers will see McCafé cups and McDelivery seal stickers that feature the national “We Can Do This” campaign created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the website, vaccines.gov.
McDonald’s said the campaign will start this month “with the debut of covid-19 vaccine information from trusted third parties on McDonald’s billboard in Times Square.”
The new cups will debut in July to help customers “learn more about how they can protect themselves and the people they love from covid-19, as well as where to find vaccine appointments near them.”
In July, McDonald s will debut new coffee cups and delivery seal stickers that will send customers to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention s vaccine website for information about the COVID-19 vaccines and how to find appointments near them.
The new cups and stickers will feature art from the national We Can Do This public education campaign to increase confidence in vaccinations.
