Twins are top graduates at Airport this year

Twins are top graduates at Airport this year For twin sisters Payton and Mackenzie Bucki, competing with one another is a thing of the past. When they were younger, they would race to see who could first learn to jump rope or who was better at a sport.  “We were so competitive when we were little,” Payton said. “We would be at each other’s throats.” But as they aged, the sisters quickly pivoted from who came out on top to enjoying their successes.  “We learned it wasn’t about what place we got,  Mackenzie said. “It’s about learning and being there for each other.”

Ida triplets ready for graduation day

Ida triplets ready for graduation day It’s not uncommon at Ida High School to be part of a set of twins. The Class of 2021 has a few pairs of the unique type of siblings.  But this year it has one group of siblings that’s even more rare: a set of triplets.  Hanna, Keenan and Ava Muir born minutes apart on Dec. 12, 2002, at Toledo Hospital are graduating this year.  Much like seniors across the county, the Muirs are part of a class of students who spent their entire year under the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Shifting regulations, virus outbreaks and subsequent quarantines have shaped the academic experience. But this year marks a decidedly different experience compared to the previous senior class many students got to partake in traditions such as prom and other end year activities. And most students will get a more traditional graduation ceremony, too
