After speaking with friends, police learned that Harney was an experienced skydiver who had just had his jumping gear serviced prior to the jump. Edward Harney and three other skydivers jumped from 14,000 feet in the air at Sky s the Limit Inc., a skydiving company in Smithfield Township, Pennsylvania State Police said. Harney began to spiral and spin once his parachute opened  it appeared to separate from him, investigators said. He disappeared into a wooded area east of Airport Road. According to PSP, Harney was an experienced skydiver who had jumped multiple times at Sky s the Limit Inc. Police found Harney at 11:35 a.m., and the Monroe County Coroner s Office pronounced him dead on the scene.
