The man who was arrested for allegedly stabbing to death an acquaintance in the parking lot of a Monroe hotel has been released from jail pending further investigation. The man’s identify has not been released because he has not been charged with a crime. The victim in the stabbing has been identified as Andrew Murray, a 25-year-old Monroe man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the suspect, also 25, was released from jail, it does not mean he is free of facing charges. Monroe County Chief Prosecutor Michael G. Roehrig explained that the investigation is continuing and the man is not considered a danger to the public.
