ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Monroe Community College has named its new president.
Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna will be the college s sixth president. The SUNY Board of Trustees made the announcement Tuesday following a recommendation from MCC s own Board of Trustees.
Dr. Burt-Nanna will begin on May 21, 2021. She is currently the vice president of student and academic affairs for South Central College in Minnesota. She has more than 20 years of experience in higher education.

Boyde was an architect but also an engineer at heart, and that meant resolving problems with certainty. What candlepower was needed at the level of a school desk for a student to be able to see her work? What nailing patterns were needed for different building materials? What mix of grass seed would best serve in the front or back lawn?

Plus, Buffalo-based West Herr Auto Group continues to expand by purchasing LeBrun Toyota of Canandaigua. Also, Monroe Community College says it’s launching a care coordination - community health navigation certificate program. This program prepares students to address patient needs in areas that include preventive care and effective disease management.
