Health officials address Johnson & Johnson vaccine hesitancy

Created: April 29, 2021 05:10 PM (ABC 6 News) - More people are getting vaccinated for COVID-19, but some are not and say they will not. Some are worried now about the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The good news is Mayo Clinic Health System is still seeing people coming back for their second dose appointments for Moderna and Pfizer. But, there is some bad news about the decreased demand for second doses, and the Johnson and Johnson one-dose vaccine.   I think we can contribute it to a lot of different things. email article With almost a quarter of Americans fully vaccinated against COVID-19, many are asking their doctors what activities they can do and which ones they should forgo for now. CDC guidance says fully vaccinated people those at least two weeks out from their second dose of a mRNA vaccine or their sole dose of Johnson & Johnson can gather in small groups indoors and travel on an airplane. But other activities fall into a gray area. For instance, is it safe for fully vaccinated people to eat indoors at a restaurant? What about going to church, or to the gym? And what about activities for kids, who won t be vaccinated for months?
