The Marathon County Health Department released a mask advisory Thursday afternoon after the statewide mandate was overturned. Marathon County Health Department Public Information Officer Judy Burrows says masks are still needed to stop the spread of COVID-19. “We really want people to understand that masking will help stop or slow the spread of COVID. So we just want to be clear that we encourage people to use masking as a prevention strategy to prevent the spread of COVID. It’s a strategy that works,”.
