The mother put the baby in a snowsuit and she and Lofton took him to an emergency room. He was later taken to Marshfield Medical Center. Doctors contacted police, saying the baby suffered what they believed to be intentional injuries, according to the complaint. The baby s brain was deprived of oxygen, and he suffered an injury to the left side of his head.
