WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) One of three people involved in a major 2019 drug bust has taken a plea deal.
John Walker, 30, of Wausau was in Marathon County Circuit Court on April 28th for a plea hearing that then became a sentencing hearing. Walker was facing four felony charges and three misdemeanor charges before the plea deal from a November 2019 traffic stop turned drug bust.
Those charges included possessing methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possessing heroin with the intent to deliver, possessing drug paraphernalia, and resisting or obstructing an officer. During the plea hearing, Walker pleaded guilty to charges of possessing drug paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine and a charge of battery of prisoners in a separate case.
