WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) â Marathon Countyâs Diversity Affairs Commission is set to hold a special meeting Thursday morning to consider sending one of two versions of the âA Community fo Allâ resolution onto the full county board of Supervisors later this month.
The longer version contains 13 paragraphs. In addition to expressing support for those of all races, genders, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs it also contains data regarding those communities from sources such as the Marathon County Life Report, ALICE report, and healthiest Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, the shorter, re-worked version strips out the statistical data and adds a paragraph stating âthe Board is committed to supporting the current state and federal laws providing for the protection and reservation of the civil rights, freedom, safety, and security of all its residents.â
