Salem man charged with sexual abuse of children; police say there could be more victims Bill Poehler, Salem Statesman Journal © Marion County Jail Luis Fernando Del Rio Jr., of Salem, was charged with abusing four minors on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021. A Salem man was arrested and indicted on multiple counts of sodomy and sex abuse of four minor children. Luis Fernando Del Rio Jr., also known as Fernando, Freddy and Nando, was arraigned Friday at the Marion County Circuit Court Annex on four counts of sodomy and six counts of sexual abuse. Del Rio’s wife ran a childcare business in their Salem home. Detectives are concerned there may be more victims.
