Motorcyclist killed in crash on Highway 99E in Marion County, OSP says KATU Staff © Provided by KATU Portland A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Highway 99E in Marion County Sunday night, according to Oregon State Police. Troopers said they were called to Highway 99E near milepost 39, which is south of Gervais, at around 7 p.m. Sunday evening. According to Oregon State Police, the driver of a Ford Focus turned left into a driveway in front of a northbound Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 40-year-old Jeffrey Garza of Woodburn.

Marion County COVID-19 Update – 12-21-2020

Photo from the CDC Six additional deaths due to COVID-19 were reported in Marion County Sunday to the State of Iowa Database. There are now 40 fatalities locally since the beginning of the outbreak, 35 of which were a direct cause of the virus. Twenty of those individuals died in the month of December. Over the past week, 196 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported. In the most recent update, Marion County Public Health considered 2224 individuals to have recovered. There are seven residents currently hospitalized with the virus.
