IMPD Homicide detectives arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in an attempted murder of a 23-year-old man early Sunday morning on the city s northeast side.
Just after 2 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2021, officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Graham Road on a report of a person shot. Officers found Jesus Medrano, and medics took him to the hospital in critical condition.
On Monday, detectives identified and arrested 22-year-old Imane McRae of Indianapolis as the alleged suspect in Medrano s shooting.

A TEENAGER accused of shooting dead six people in his own home is seen rapping about murder and gun violence in a music video.
Raymond Childs III, 17, was arrested on Monday after the alleged mass murder of his own family in Indianapolis.

The teenager was charged on Thursday morning, the Daily Mail reported.
He is facing six counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of carrying a handgun without a license.
In the shooting spree early on Sunday morning, the teenager allegedly shot and killed his own mom Kezzie Childs, 42, dad Raymond Childs, 42, brother Elijah, 18 and young sister Rita, 13.
Childs III was identified as the gunman by his younger brother
Xavier Childs, who suffered gunshot wounds as he fled from the home, police said. Xavier, 15, remains hospitalized but is expected to recover.
Police previously withheld the suspect’s name due to his age. It was released after the charges were filed in adult court due to the severity of the alleged crimes.

The victims are the teen suspect s 42-year-old father Raymond Childs, his mother Kezzie, 42, a 13-year-old sister Rita and his 18-year-old brother Elijah Childs. Also killed were Elijah s 19-year-old girlfriend Kiara Hawkins and their unborn child, referred to as Baby Boy Hawkins.

Another sibling, injured by gunfire, escaped the home in the 3500 block of Adams Street and ran to a neighborhood house for help. That sibling told responding officers what led to the gunfire, according to IMPD.

INDIANAPOLIS–Murder charges have been filed against Raymond Ronald Lee Childs, III. He’s the teenager accused of killing six people, including his father and stepmother, and a pregnant mother and her unborn child, Sunday, Jan. 24.
No death penalty
Childs was arrested Monday. But Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears declined to release his name or photo, saying he was underage. Childs said at Thursday’s news conference that because Childs is 17, he must be charged in adult court. But, because he is still not an adult, they cannot seek the death penalty.
