The body of a 39-year-old Minneapolis man was found in a culvert in Dakota County on Monday, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
The Dakota County Sheriff s Office says a passerby found Manuel Mandujano s body in a culvert under a field approach about a mile east of Chippendale Avenue and 255th Street West in Castle Rock Township around 9 a.m. Monday, April 26.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office ruled Mandujano s death a homicide.
The Dakota County Sheriff s Office and Minneapolis Police Department are investigating the case.

A man who crashed his motorcycle in Carver County early this month has died three weeks later, authorities said.
Kevin M. McGowan, 58, of Circle Pines, died Friday at HCMC from injuries he suffered on early in the evening on April 2 while riding north of Belle Plaine on County Road 40 and Hwy. 25, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office.
McGowan was heading west when he left the road and hit some trees, Sheriff Jason Kamerud said Monday. McGowan had on a helmet, the sheriff said.

MINNEAPOLIS A Minneapolis man has been charged with intentional, non-premeditated second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Yadhira Romero Martinez, the Hennepin County Attorney s Office announced Wednesday.
The man charged is Jose Cuenca-Zuniga, 23. He is being held in Ohio, and the attorney s office said extradition proceedings have begun.
According to the criminal complaint, Martinez disappeared after leaving her Bloomington workplace at 4 p.m. on April 22. A family member was concerned when she didn t return home that night and filed a missing persons report in the morning.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Murder charges were filed Wednesday against a Minneapolis man in connection to the death of a 19-year-old woman who disappeared after leaving work last week and was later found dead at a home in south Minneapolis.
Jose Cuenca-Zuniga, 23, was charged with intentional second-degree murder in the death of Yadhira Romero Martinez. Cuenca-Zuniga is being held in Ohio and extradition proceedings to bring him back to Minnesota have begun, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office.

A 19-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in south Minneapolis last week.
Iaan J. Wade, of Minneapolis, was shot multiple times about 8:40 p.m. Thursday on a street corner at E. 22nd Street and S. Oakland Avenue, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office.
Police have announced no arrests in what is one of the city s 23 homicides so far this year.
