A Brooklyn Park woman stalked a 76-year-old woman into her Minneapolis apartment building last week, where she shot and pistol-whipped the victim, robbing her of $900 in rent money she d just withdrawn from the bank, charges say.
Da Seanna D. Williams, 21, was charged in Hennepin County District Court on Thursday with aggravated robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon, both felonies, in connection with the violent attack that left the Somali-American elder with a fractured skull and brain bleed. Williams remains jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A 33-year-old man was drunk and driving without a license when he ran a red light, collided with another vehicle at a Minneapolis intersection and killed the other motorist, according to charges filed Wednesday.
Terrance J. Bugg, of Minneapolis, was charged Wednesday in Hennepin County District Court with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the crash on Sept. 12 that killed Emigdio Gonzalez Tobon, 55, of Minneapolis.
A nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest.
Two women in Bugg s SUV, ages 26 and 35, suffered noncritical injuries.
According to the criminal complaint:
Bugg was speeding in his Honda Pilot while westbound on E. 26th Street about 3:40 a.m., when he went through a red light and broadsided a southbound Chevy Traverse. The impact sent the two SUVs into a building.

Five men have been charged in connection with the gang-related shooting and wounding of two people late last month in Brooklyn Park.
Savion Samuel Reeves Crittenden, 18; Stephon Leron Parker-Rouse, 23, and Donta Jaboat Brown, 27, all of Minneapolis, along with Cinque Daprice Owens, 26, of New Brighton, and Cortinez Armoney Powell, 23, of Owatonna, were each charged with two counts of attempted murder, according to charges filed Wednesday in Hennepin County District Court.
According to the charges, the suspects and the victims belong to rival gangs. The shootings followed contentious messages exchanged over social media.
