Poimenovanja in preimenovanja ulic, imena in dejavnosti ljudi, po katerih so bile poimenovane. Tokrat osmi del seznama ulic in cest v Mariboru, ki se začnejo s črko P.
Predilniška ulica
Leta 1938 so novo ulico v Melju poimenovali Predilniška ulica. Po nemški okupaciji aprila 1941 jo začasno poimenujejo v Spinner Gasse (Prelčeva ulica), po predilniškem delavcu – prelcu, nato pa jo še isto leto preimenujejo v Lortzing Gasse (Lortzingova ulica), po nemškem skladatelju Albertu Avgustu Lortzingu (1801–1851). Maja 1945 ji vrnejo slovensko ime Predilniška ulica. Ime Predilniška je dobila zato, ker je vodila proti predilnici tekstilne tovarne.
