Johnson & Johnson has resumed its Covid-19 vaccine to Europe after an African health agency confirmed that the benefits were even greater despite realizing that there was a “possible connection” between the jab and the missing blood clots.
European Medicines Agency He said Tuesday that the combination of anemia with platelet counts should be added to the list of side effects from the J&J jab. However, it added that the overall benefits of the shotgun vaccine outweighed the risk of this.
J&J is set to resume shipments of 200m vaccines to the EU, Norway and Iceland and to update its data on monitoring and monitoring “rare cases”.
