Woman fatally shot in convenience store parking lot, authorities say

A Trenton woman was killed early Tuesday in a shooting at the 7-Eleven store on Lalor Street in Hamilton, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Hamilton police officers responding to a report of gunfire at 1:50 a.m. found a woman, Katherine Montenegro, 23, in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. An ambulance took her to a local hospital, where Montenegro died a short time later.
No arrests or charges, or suspected motive, were publicized by the prosecutor’s office.

36-year-old killed in Trenton shooting, authorities say

A 36-year-old man was killed in a Trenton shooting Saturday night, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said Sunday.
Police found the man, David Williams, shot inside a car while responding around 11 p.m. to a report of a shooting and motor vehicle crash in the area of North Hanover and Stockton streets, the office said.
The Trenton Fire Department extricated Williams from the vehicle and he was later pronounced dead at a hospital, the prosecutor’s office said. An adult female passenger, who was not injured, was also taken to a hospital for injuries from the accident.

A Trenton man charged last year with the point-blank killing of a woman during a street fight in the city’s West Ward also threatened to kill two women that day, the indictment against him charges.
Quasim Hallett was charged last year with killing 24-year-old Quamierah Massey on Hoffman Avenue on April 5, 2020.
Part of the crime was recorded on cellphone cameras and posted online. It shows a bearded man, who authorities say is Hallett, getting involved in the street fight of two women. The man confronts a group of people, a gunshot is heard and people run in panic.

Hopewell bicyclist struck by car, suffers serious injuries
A collision between a bicyclist and a motorist at the intersection of East Broad Street and Princeton Avenue in Hopewell Borough sent the bicyclist to the hospital May 13, according to the Hopewell Township Police Department.
The bicyclist was riding east on East Broad Street and was struck by a 2015 Kia Sedona that was traveling west on East Broad Street as the motorist attempted to make a left turn onto Princeton Avenue, police said.
The bicyclist sustained serious injuries in the incident, which was reported to police at 4:12 p.m. May 13. The bicyclist was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton by the Hopewell Rescue Squad and Capital Health paramedics.
