BUCHAREST (Romania), April 21 (SeeNews) - Corporate bonds issued by Romanian electricity and natural gas supplier Restart Energy One in February started trading on the multilateral trading system (MTS) of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the bourse said on Wednesday.
The funds raised at the beginning of this year through a private placement will be used for the development and acquisition of renewable energy production assets, the bourse said in a press release.
The 16.3 million lei ($4 million/ 3.4 million euro) issue of five-year bonds bears an interest rate of 9% per annum, payable semi-annually. It consists of 163,612 bonds of 100 lei in par value each. The bonds are convertible into shares starting with 2024 and can be redeemed early starting with the third year.

Restart Energy, one of the largest independent suppliers of electricity and natural gas on the local market, lists its convertible green bonds tomorrow, April 21st, at The Bucharest Stock Exchange. This step is part of the company’s strategy to supply 100% renewable energy in the next five years.
The access to financing and the visibility offered by BVB by listing the green bonds will help Restart Energy in finalizing the 500 MW green energy projects that Restart Energy wants to develop in the next five years in Romania and neighboring countries. This plan requires funding worth 500 million euros.

BUCHAREST (Romania), February 4 (SeeNews) - Romanian energy provider Restart Energy said on Thursday it has raised 16.3 million lei ($4 million/ 3.4 million euro) from investors through a green bond placement.
The bond issue marks the company s entry into the capital market and is the first step in its development strategy for the next five years, it said in a press release.
The five-year bonds bearing 9% interest will be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Restart Energy aimed to raise at least 3 million euro in the private placement.
