(KNSI) – JoeTown Rocks has been canceled for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Former chair Rich Schwegel confirmed the cancelation of the summer festival in St. Joseph to KNSI News.
Organizers were concerned about ensuring mask-wearing and proper social distancing.
There were also concerns about getting volunteers because people might not feel safe.
About 20,000 people attend the annual fundraising concert and festival for St. Joseph’s Church and other community organizations each year.
The St. Joseph Lions are meeting on Friday to discuss the July 4th parade, which takes place during JoeTown Rocks.
