MUST Student Who Graduated With Distinction Dies In Car Accident

Graduated student for the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) who passed with a distinction Isha Senga has died in car accident in Ntcheu, police confirmed. Ntcheu Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu said Senga aged 26, died Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle she was travelling in overtuned at Biwi are, along Balka Ntcheu M1 road. Tarsizio Nkhoma, 28, was driving a motor vehicle, Toyota Atenza saloon, registration number BY 8379, from the direction of Balaka heading towards Ntcheu with three passengers onboard. Upon arrival at the said place, he failed to negotiate a bend. As a result, he swerved to the extreme nearside dirty verge where it overturned.

Chakwera shocked with MUST graduate tragic death

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has expressed shock over the death of of Isha Senga who graduated with distinction at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) on Tuesday. The 26-year-old young lady who graduated in Medical Micro Biology died yesterday in a road accident in Ntcheu on her way from the graduation ceremony in Thyolo. Ntcheu police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu said Senga sustained severe head injuries. Lazarus Chakwera Installed MUST Chancellor

By Caroline Nyalugwe Thyolo, May 18, Mana:  President Lazarus Chakwera has been installed as the second chancellor of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) since its establishment in 2012 by late Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika. In his address during the 2nd congregation at the University’s campus in Thyolo on Tuesday, Chakwera said university graduates such as those from MUST are a pillar towards the achievement of MW2063.  “Graduates have to be equipped with scientific, technological skills and knowledge which will help end poverty in Malawi as we are moving towards achieving the Agenda 2063,” Chakwera said. He said a graduation ceremony is called a commencement because it marks the beginning of a new life and not the end in itself.
