On a year-on-year basis, the natural rubber production increased by 4.5 percent in March, according to Malaysian Statistics Department. Exports of Malaysia s natural rubber rose 7.7 percent to 58,852 tonnes in March, up from 54,632 tonnes in February. China remained the main destination for the Southeast Asian country s natural rubber exports, with 51.8 percent of the total in March, followed by Germany with 6.4 percent, Finland with 5.3 percent, the United States with 4.8 percent and Brazil, 2.3 percent.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy), Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup  (pic), said in a statement that the residents in Nabawan, Sapulut and Pemuntarian sub districts will receive their BPN 2.0 assistance in a programme held at Dewan Masyarakat Nabawan on Thursday. He said Pagalungan residents will receive their BPN 2.0 aid at the programme on Friday (April 9) at Pentas Terbuka Pekan Pagalungan, Pensiangan residents this Saturday (April 10) at Balai Budaya Pekan Pensiangan, and Tatalaan residents at Balai Budaya Kampung Ponontomon, this Sunday (April 11).

2021-04-09 10:05:54 GMT2021-04-09 18:05:54(Beijing Time) Xinhua English KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Xinhua) Malaysia s Industrial Production Index (IPI) grew 1.5 percent in February year on year, mainly driven by a higher manufacturing index, official data showed Friday. Malaysian Statistics Department said in a statement that the growth of IPI in February was driven by the manufacturing index which increased by 4.5 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the mining and electricity index dropped 6 percent and 5.8 percent respectively. According to the department, the major sub-sectors contributing to the growth in the manufacturing sector in February were electrical and electronics products, petroleum, chemical, rubber and plastic products, and transport equipment and other manufactures.
