Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has asked the government to review any intention to liquidate the holding of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang to any private entity, its chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said.
“On behalf of all Malaysia Airports staff, I would like to ask the government to review the intention,” he said, adding that MAHB, as the world’s largest group of airport operators in terms of the number of passengers handled, has an excellent track record in operating 39 airports throughout the country and one international airport in Istanbul, Turkey.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd has urged the government to review any plans to sell off Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang airport) to the private sector.
In a statement today, MAHB chairperson Zambry Abd Kadir said the company has a good track record of managing 39 airports in Malaysia and an airport in Turkey - some of them award-winning.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has stated that it is not uncommon for the market to submit proposals to the government on developing new airports or to take over an existing airport.
The airport operator said this in a statement today to clarify a circulating news report regarding the takeover of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang airport) by a private business entity.
“This has occurred a number of times in the past and as part of the process, the government will seek our input on the matter.
