Devona Pendergrass, longtime librarian at Mountain Home High School who died in May, received Posthumous Lifetime Membership into the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media.
Pendergrass’s husband Neal accepted the award on her behalf on Wednesday during the association’s annual conference in Hot Springs.
Pendergrass had served the association, as well as various other state and national associations, in a number of executive roles throughout her career.
The honor was presented by Sara Dickey, secretary of the association’s executive board. “She kept us in line,” she said of Pendergrass. “We are missing her. We miss her wit, her wisdom, her expertise, but most of all we miss her friendship.”
