1. Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warned that enemies were trying to take over his party after failing to destroy it.
2. MCA called for a ceasefire amid the Umno-Bersatu tussle. It also pledged to remain with BN, which could potentially clash with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the next general election.
3. MCA president Wee Ka Siong also urged the Chinese community to give his party another chance, telling them not to put all their eggs in one basket , in reference to Pakatan Harapan.

Seeking to distance the revived Special Affairs Department (Jasa) from its past as a political propaganda unit, Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah said their first programme will be on communication for the disabled.
He stressed that the department, which has been rebranded as the Community Communications Department (J-Kom) was not a political one.
