Lafayette Consolidated Government Offering Deal on Rain Barrels
May 9 is the deadline for residents of the city of Lafayette and unincorporated areas to sign up for a rain barrel at the subsidized price of $34.50.
If you love flowers, or if you have a vegetable garden, these barrels are a great way to catch rainwater to nourish the projects in your yard.
By having a rain barrel you can conserve water and save yourself money. You won t have to use the hose to water your plants and veggies.
According to a press release from the Lafayette Consolidated Government, rain barrels also help to reduce the amount of stormwater runoff.
