According to the research data analyzed and published by Stock Apps, global coal production fell by 2% in 2020. In 2021, it is projected to increase by 3.5% reaching 8 billion tons (bnt). Output will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% in the period between 2021 and 2025 raising total production to 8.8 bnt. In 2020, production at the top ten mining companies fell by 4.2% from 1.7 bnt in 2019 to 1.63 bnt.
