WHIZ News Dog of the Week MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Cooper has been named the Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week. The three-year-old terrier mix is neutered and fully vaccinated. He has been at the dog warden since April and enjoys all the attention. “He loves to be petted, loves affection and oftentimes when you’re walking him, he’ll actually stop and have you pet him. He loves verbal praise. He rides very well in the car. I feel like he would do good with any family,” Muskingum County Dog Warden volunteer Doug McQuaid said. Cooper is kid friendly and dog selective. He is a little too much for cats. Every morning when he’s greeted by a volunteer worker, he listens and behaves well.

WHIZ News Dog of the Week MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Charlie has been named this week’s Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week. Charlie was first adopted from the dog warden about a year ago. At the end of March, he was returned as an owner release. He’s estimated to be about 6-years-old and has medium energy. “He is neutered, fully vaccinated and 100 percent ready to be adopted. He rides well in the car, in and out. Very friendly with children. He is dog selective and does not do well with cats,” Dog Warden Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

WHIZ News Dog of the Week MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Lenny concludes the month of April’s Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week. Lenny would be a great dog to spend time with outdoors, especially with the warmer weather approaching. He’s a one year old terrier mix, weighing approximately 56 pounds. He enjoys walks and laying in the shade outside. He also loves going to the adoption center to take baths.  “Lenny is a medium energy dog. When you first get him out, he’s kind of manageable and as time goes on he’s very manageable, so he’s very easy to walk. He’s just excited when he first gets out and so forth,” dog warden volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

WHIZ News Dog of the Week MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Blackberry has been named the Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week.  Blackberry was brought in as a stray at the end of March. He is a young lab mix. Despite being vision impaired, he gets around places fairly well and gets along with other dogs and children.  “Any family of any age would be able to adopt this dog and have no issues. He loves to go for walks, rides very well in the car. We know for sure, he must be house broken because everyday when I come in, he has a very clean kennel,” Dog Warden Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.
