Montgomery police called simultaneously to separate, isolated shootings

Montgomery police were called to two separate shootings, one of which occurred downtown, in what one city official referred to as domestic disputes.  Montgomery police Capt. Saba Coleman said officers were called simultaneously to the two scenes about 8 p.m. Wednesday – one in the 200 block of Tallapoosa Street downtown and the second in the 800 block of George B Edmondson Drive.  Coleman said police and medics found a man suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound at the downtown scene. The Renaissance Hotel and Montgomery Performing Arts Center are the only two businesses in that block.  The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
