(WSFA) - A Florida man has been arrested on multiple charges in Montgomery County, including fleeing from police and trafficking of opium. Jacob Tyler Haag, 27, of Tallahassee, is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility on two counts of trafficking opium, two counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana and attempting to flee from law enforcement in a vehicle.

View Comments A Montgomery man is behind bars accused of cruelly mistreating Missy, a Shih Tzu, causing it to fall comatose.  Terrance Wade Ray, 20, was charge with first-degree cruelty to a dog, a Class C felony. According to Ray s charging documents, an animal control officer was called to a home on Bridlewood Drive about 9 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a dog being put in a trash can.  The complainant, the officer wrote, was already speaking with two Montgomery police officers.  He saw Terrance Ray holding his significant other s dog by the nape while blood was pouring from the dog s mouth/head, the officer wrote in the arrest affidavit.

(WSFA) - Court records have provided more details about a man involved in a shootout that left two Montgomery police officers injured over the weekend. According to an arrest affidavit, Demetrius Renard Keith is charged with three counts of attempted murder and assault second-degree for an incident that started in the 3700 block of Lower Wetumpka Road. According to Montgomery police, officers and medics were called to Lower Wetumpka Road after a call that someone had been shot. When they arrived, they found a man who had life-threatening injuries.

He is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $195,000. Court records also list his name in previous arrests as Demetrius Renard Keith. Montgomery officers responded to the 300 block of Lower Wetumpka Road at on a report of a person shot at 2:18 p.m. Saturday. The victim, according to charging documents, was shot in the chest, thigh and wrist. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
