In Person Instruction Suspended in Greater Amsterdam School District

Dec 14, 2020 Photo: Getty Images The Greater Amsterdam School District suspends in-person instruction district wide until after the holiday break on January 4th. The decision was made following a Sunday meeting with the Montgomery County Department of Health and the District s Administrative Cabinet. This action is being taken due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the Amsterdam community and the escalating number of teachers and staff being placed on mandatory quarantine as a precaution to possible exposure. Teachers will also have the option of teaching remotely during this time and office staff will be reduced.
