Deputy Potter wins Sheriff s Office No Shave Contest, gets to keep his beard (for a bit)

Clarksville Now CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office No Shave Contest has wrapped up, and the winner is Deputy Kelley Potter. Deputies normally aren’t allowed to grow facial hair, but for the contest, each deputy made a $40 donation each month to let the stubble keep going, said department spokeswoman Sandra Brandon. The donations for November went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For December, the donations are split evenly between Manna Cafe, Soldiers and Families Embraced (SAFE), FUEL and Urban Ministries. Clarksville Now held a voting competition with photos of each of the 12 entrants, and Potter took the most votes. That means he gets bragging rights and can keep his beard for one more month.
