The victim, 37, was in critical condition after being airlifted to Albany Medical Center Hospital. Police said they received the call at 1:52 a.m. for a seriously injured man bleeding on the sidewalk on Hibbard Street between James and Reid streets.   Amsterdam Police, State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office determined he had suffered a gunshot wound to the head Residents of the Fourth Ward can expect a continued police presence in the neighborhood throughout the day, a police statement said.
