Westfield State University’s plans for the fall include restoration of on-ground classes to their traditional level.
In addition to declaring its intent that 75% of its classes be in person, the university is expecting to house more than 2,000 students on campus.
The increasing availability and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine was deemed a key element to the decision that was announced in a university statement. On Tuesday, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker predicted that by June, all Massachusetts residents who wanted a vaccine would have available means to receive it.
